ABOUT SIBERIAN CATS
The Siberian cat’s story stretches back centuries, with origins rooted deep in the forests of Russia. Revered in its homeland for its resilience and majestic triple-layered coat, the Siberian was a natural breed that evolved to survive harsh climates while remaining affectionate and loyal companions to humans. They’ve long been a fixture in Russian folklore and were only introduced to the Western world in recent decades, where their popularity has steadily grown thanks to their beauty, intelligence, and gentle nature.
The Siberian is a medium to large-sized cat with a strong, muscular, and athletic build. Adults typically weigh between 4–9 kilos, with males being noticeably larger than females. Their most distinctive features include a rounded head, expressive almond-shaped eyes, tufted ears, and a dense, water-resistant triple coat. Unlike flat-faced breeds, Siberians have a balanced facial structure with a slightly rounded profile and powerful neck and limbs built for agility and grace.
Siberian cats are known for their affectionate, intelligent, and playful personalities. They are gentle but more active and agile than many long-haired breeds, enjoying games, climbing, and exploring their surroundings. Despite their love of movement, they are equally content curling up near their humans, especially in calm and cozy environments. HOW WE BECAME SIBERIAN CAT BREEDERS
Thanks for visiting our website! My name is Thomas Willow, and together with my family, we proudly run Willow’s Siberian Kittens. We’ve been passionately breeding this wonderful cat breed since 2015. My wife and I are lifelong animal lovers, and our journey with Siberian cats began out of a desire to share the joy and companionship these sweet-natured kittens bring into homes across the country.
Over the years, my knowledge and connection with the Siberian breed have only deepened. These cats are incredibly intelligent, affectionate, and have such unique personalities that they continue to teach us something new every day. My love for animals started early back when I was just 10 years old. That Christmas, my parents surprised me with my very first kitten: a Siberian I named Milo.
Milo wasn’t just a pet, he was my childhood companion. Through all the ups and downs of growing up, Milo was always by my side. He had a calming presence and seemed to understand me better than anyone. I used to talk to him as if he were human, secretly hoping he’d talk back one day. Whether I was happy, sad, or simply in need of quiet company, Milo was always there.
Years later, I met my wife while we were in college. We became close friends, and when she met Milo, she instantly fell in love with him. In fact, she convinced her parents to get a Siberian cat of their own. Our cats grew up playing together, and our bond as a couple deepened through our shared love for this remarkable breed. Sadly, Milo passed away during our later years in college, but the memories he gave me have remained with me ever since.
After we got married, our love for Siberian cats only grew stronger. That’s when we decided to turn our passion into Willow’s Siberian Kittens; a small, family-run cattery dedicated to raising healthy, well-socialized, and affectionate kittens. Today, we live with our two children on a peaceful three-acre property where our kittens have plenty of space to play, explore, and grow into the loving companions they are meant to be.
